The book’s popularity grew in the 1960’s but it was 47 years after the first publication when The Lord of the Rings popularity scaled far greater heights. English university professor and writer John Ronald Reuel Tolkien wrote his The Lord of the Rings epic fantasy adventure novels between 19 but publication of the first volume hit the printing press in 1954.
